hey guys, i've been posting more than i usually have, haven't i? well it's just about the end of the year so i figure i'll do an end of the year journal! feel free to skip to the bottom if you wishh.
overall: i feel like this year was probably one of the best years of my life. a lot of things happened & a lot of change/growth in myself and my friends as well. there are many people who helped open my eyes to a lot more things, and i feel like i am a lot more self-aware about myself/my actions/how the world works etc...though i know that i'm definitely not 'mature', and i'm still naive...i've still got a long ways to go, i'm still a bloody teenager @_@ but i'm proud of how much more i've matured...though i feel like i can grow up even more this coming year, since 2009 opened up endless possibilities.
this year has also been quite a bit of an emotional rollercoaster for me; i've opened my eyes to a lot more things i had never thought about/never knew, and when i started to forget some old things i had wonderful people to knock me back in my place. without them, i could never be the person i am now. at the beginning of the year i was...well, childish, if i say so honestly, looking back at myself. there were a lot of things i thought i knew that i really didn't but grew to really know this year. but even now i look back even just a couple months from now and regret some of the things i did/said...nothing can change those times but i know i can always do things the right way in the future if i try. even though it was painful i felt like i learned a lot from it.
also, this year contained an immeasurable amount of fun. even though some of the year was painful i really think this year was one of the funnest/best in my life. =]
specific events: - meeting ~Romia456 made all/half of my year. i won't go too into it since i do enough of that on my LJ, but seriously. he opened my eyes to a lot more things, taught me how to be a better person, helped me up and wiped away my tears when i was down...he's such a wonderful person, and i'm so glad i'm his girlfriend - just about all of the anime conventions this year were spectacular. AOD was the first convention i had gone to with my boyfriend and a good majority of my friends. Fanime was just AMAZING, second-best con of the year, especially meeting Chris! Anime Expo was also probably the best, simply because i love going to SoCal and also because i had the chance to bring two of my awesome friends, ~soren13 and ~Kagome62!! SacAnime was a nice, relaxing way to end the year - we unexpectedly reunited with Chris and had an amazing time at the rave! - having the chance to go to Junior Prom. i never thought i would be attending prom so early, but...change of plans - DISNEYLAND. easily made all/half of my year, i will not lie. i will remember it for the rest of my life - it was a dream come TRUE being able to run around (one of) the happiest place on earth with my bffs ~xfersurex, ~soren13, and ~Kagome62 RIGHT AFTER attending Anime Expo. for seriously, i love you guys. --> specific highlights would be going to fucking CLUB 33!, taking pictures with Mickey, ~xfersurex screaming "BEEP BEEP" at everyone while we ran across the entire park, riding the Tower of Terror with ~Kagome62 MULTIPLE TIMES, and the fireworks display with ~everybody~ at the end - countless times with friends --> and the specific highlights would be hanging out at the beginning of the summer, the summer party, the Halloween party, and the Holiday party not to mention all the times we hung out with Chris.

seriously i need like an exploding emoticon for mood. it's not love, it's SUPER LOVE. because i got so much stuff this year i never expected to get from so many people i love, and i gave so much more stuff than i usually did and just the smiling faces...really, just one of the best holiday seasons i've had.

- manga (FMA 18-12 & 07-Ghost 1) - tons of chocolate (peppermint bark & toblerone bars) - wonderful clothes/accessories (hat/scarf/gloves combo, purse & bracelet) - VIDYA GAEMS (358/2 Days & Dissidia! /airpunch) - Zebra stuff! (my mom got me a Zebra Snuggie. Words cannot describe.) - Headphones, which is totes awesome. - The Complete Works of Lewis Carroll, who I adore cos she wrote AiW and TtLG it's 1165 pages and i can't wait to start it!

i've been having a pretty awesome break from school, got to party with my best friends (~Kagome62, ~soren13, & ~xfersurex) last Friday night and also exchanged gifts then >w> art-wise i presented ~soren13 and ~Kagome62 with unfinished pictures and a completely polished doujinshi respectively, hurr. i also recieved some lovely presents from them, too, and overall it was super awesome hanging out with them lovely ladies!
thennn hung out with my boyfriend ~Romia456 as welll. i had a ton of gifts for him but wound up giving him a couple throughout the days. we also wound up betting a gift through a game of 41 (hur hurr) and i wound out losing out so he got the gift xD i will post a pic of his most epic gift tomorrow after i give it to him though, because it is amazin'!
so, how are your guys' holidays going at the moment? good? bad? hanging with friends, family? alone?
aaaand, what are your favorite parts of the holidays? mine is giving. i never had a reason to really feel like giving until last year and this year though. before it was kind of like obligatory, y'know? but then i started REALLY getting into DIYs and homemades(giving art gifts for 4 years as well)...their happy faces just light me up inside xD
